Role Overview

As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will work closely with District Rangers to develop and implement district work plans within a joint management context. You will collaborate with Traditional Owners, park staff, and stakeholders to develop and implement conservation and visitor management programs while supervising an operational unit.

Your role will also include developing vessel, aviation, and vehicle trip activity plans and assisting in search and rescue (SAR) emergency response.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with District Rangers to develop and implement district work plans and resolve issues within a joint management context.
  • Work with Traditional Owners, park staff, and stakeholders to develop and implement conservation and visitor management programs.
  • Supervise an operational unit to implement annual plans for site management, resource allocations, WHS compliance, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Lead and monitor the development of vessel, aviation, and vehicle trip activity plans.
  • Assist in search and rescue (SAR) emergency response operations.

Eligibility

  • You must be an Australian citizen.
  • This position requires a Baseline Vetting security clearance – you must obtain and maintain this clearance.
